
Baby Chakraborty: Kolkata:- On Monday, the top brass of Kolkata Police suddenly went to the house of Abhijit Mondal, the former OC of Tala police station, who was caught in the RG Kar case. The police officers spoke with his family there. Police officials said they came with a message to stand by Abhijeet’s family. He wanted to know the situation by talking to the family members. Abhijeet’s wife said that the CBI called her and informed her about her husband’s arrest. But he was kept waiting for almost three hours for the arrest memo.
The former OC of Tala police station lived in a multi-storeyed flat called Devyani Enclave of Surveypark police station. His family members lived there. Kolkata Police Additional Commissioner of Police (4th) V Solomon Nisha Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Division) Arish Bilal, Deputy Commissioner (SSD) Vidisha Kalitha went to Abhijit’s house today. Kolkata Police said that they have brought a message to stand by Abhijit’s family.
Wife Sangeeta Mandal spoke to family members. Kolkata Police has promised to extend a hand of cooperation in all situations. Members of the Kolkata Police also said that the OC of Tana police station is not at fault. The OC reached the spot quickly. They also said that the incident of RG Kar is a sensitive crime. The work was done on the request of RG Kar authorities and doctors.
