Baby Chakraborty :- Again curfew has been issued in Manipur. This northeastern state has been troubled for several days. In this situation, curfew has been imposed in three districts of Manipur namely Imphal East, Imphal West and Thoubal.Manipur was hot for last one year due to communal violence.These three districts of Manipur have been wrapped in tight security. Ban on any gathering has been imposed. Over a hundred people have died and many are still homeless as a result of the ongoing conflict.
However, the situation was slowly returning to normal. A few months ago curfew was lifted as the situation normalized. But that fear reared its head again in Manipur. Houses were set on fire one after another in fresh attacks. At least seven people died. It has been claimed that Kuki militants are involved in this attack. For that, curfew has been issued in these three districts. Earlier there was some curfew relaxation in Imphal East and West, but those guidelines have been withdrawn. But now as law and order has deteriorated curfew is being tightened. Apart from this, the army and security agencies have also been alerted.Surveillance has been increased in the areas adjacent to the border. Even barricades have been installed at various places. Anti drone system installed in Manipur. And this measure has been taken by the army to prevent it. There has been a lot of excitement around this incident.
