Baby Chakraborty: Junior doctors are returning to work from next Saturday. But don’t give all services as before. Partly join the work. It was informed by ‘West Bengal Junior Doctors Front’ at a press conference on Thursday night. Besides, the stand which is going on in front of the health building, will be removed from Friday.
Also, a procession will be held from Health Bhavan to CBI office CGO complex at 3 pm on Friday. Then the agitating junior doctors will go back to their medical colleges and hospitals. From the next day only attend to the work of providing emergency services. But the junior doctors have warned that if the state government does not fulfill the promise and if they do not accept their demands about the threat culture, they will stop working completely.
These junior doctors have also set a deadline of seven days. “Our flexible attitude should not be taken by the state government as weakness,” they warned. Debashis Halder, one of the ‘faces’ of the junior doctors’ movement, said that only emergency services would be provided. Each department and each medical college based emergency services are different. They will return to their colleges after Friday’s procession.
