
Baby Chakravarti:- Almost every gram panchayat under the Kakdwip block of South 24 Parganas district is named after the names of scholars. There are also various gram panchayats named after Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, Rishi Bankim, Netaji and Bapuji. For example, there is Rabindra gram panchayat which is named after the world poet Rabindranath Tagore.
This gram panchayat is surrounded by the Kalnagini river in the Dholahat police station area under the current Sundarbans district police. Now, in that village, a statue of the poet has been installed in memory of Rabindranath.
Manmathpur Pranab Mandir has been built in the Bijannagar village of Manmathpur Mouja of Rabindra Gram Panchayat under the ideology of Yugavatara Acharya Shrimat Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj. From where various programs are held throughout the year for the service work of Bharat Sevashram Sangh and health, education system, spiritual and moral development of people with the common people of all walks of life.
This time the 7th annual festival is being held for two days.
On this occasion, Mahabhishek and Annakut with the help of 129 posts were held on Sunday morning. After that, four statues of Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj and Rabindranath Tagore were installed at four separate places at the four ends of Rabindra Gram Panchayat. Along with this, the Panchaganga Aarti altar, Swami Pranabananda General Library and Swami Pranabananda Yoga Temple were inaugurated by the Sangh’s General Secretary Swami Vishwatmanandaji Maharaj at the Kalnagini River Ghat, the main entrance of Rabindra Gram Panchayat. He started the program virtually. In accordance with the rules and regulations of the Sangh, the mothers separated each idol and purified it with 108 ghats of Ganga water. In addition to the Sangh’s monks, monks from various Matha Missions were present at this program. The program ended with Pancha Yajna.
