Baby Chakraborty, Kolkata:- The train compartment broke apart while moving. The passengers on the train started screaming in panic.
The accident took place near Tudiganj station between Dumrao and Raghunathpur stations. Around 11 am, the Delhi-Bihar-bound Down Magadh Express broke its coupling while moving in Bihar’s Buxar district. Sleeper coach and AC coach of Down Magadh Express train separated. It is said that the train was running at a speed of about 40 to 50 km per hour at that time. As soon as the loco pilot realized it, he stopped the train and a major danger was avoided.
At 11:08 a.m. between Dumrao and Raghunathpur stations, the coupling of the train broke, causing some of the coaches with the engine to separate from the rear coaches of the train. However, no casualty has been reported in the accident, the railway said. Railway officials, GRP, RPF reached the spot. An inquiry into the accident has been ordered by the Ministry of Railways and the inquiry report has also been sought.
