Congress accuses India Today of harassing a journalist in America

Baby Chakraborty :- A journalist of India Today was accused of harassment in America. Allegations are aimed at Congress workers. And in this incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the main opposition party of the country. In this regard, the Prime Minister said, “Congress has always indulged in brutality”.

He took a dig at Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi saying, “‘Mohabbat Ki Dukan’ is actually a cover. Addressing an election rally in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda to campaign for votes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashed out at the opposition Congress and said, “They claim that love runs the shop. But in America, the Congress has brutalized a journalist of our country, who claims to be the champion of freedom of speech. They are the ones who indulge in barbarism.”

India Today journalist Rohit Sharma was harassed by Congress workers while interviewing Indian Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda in Dallas ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s three-day visit to the US. Congress activists initially objected to Rohit Sharma’s alleged questioning of attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, then got angry and seized Rohit’s phone and deleted the 30-minute video of the interview. However, Indian Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda said it did not support the incident.
