Baby Chakraborty: Partha Chattopadhyay approached the Supreme Court with a bail plea. Many including Anuvrata Mandal have got bail but Partha Chatterjee is yet to be released from jail. CBI is also trying to arrest him. In this situation, Partha Chatterjee became the judge of the Supreme Court. Apex Court has issued notice to all parties on Partha Chattopadhyay’s bail plea. However, even after being in jail for so long, the ED has not yet found any evidence of such allegations. This is what Partha Chatterjee’s lawyer has claimed.

The Supreme Court has given important directions to the lower courts on bail pleas. The notice has been issued and it has been said that the lower court should hear the Parthar bail case expeditiously. Partha Chattopadhyay applied for bail in the Supreme Court on September 13.

The charge against Partha Chatterjee carries a maximum sentence of seven years but he has been in jail for two years before any charges are proven so he should be granted bail soon. It is in view of this plea that the division bench of Justices Suryakant and Ujjal Bhuan said that the lower court should hear the case on a regular basis and the Supreme Court will hear the case after ten days.
