Baby Chakraborty :- The recent statement of BJP state president Sukant Majumder has created tension in the political circles. He made controversial comments about the role of the police while attacking the Trinamool Congress during the Taldangra assembly by-election campaign in Bankura. Sukanth said, if the police are removed, there will be no party called Trinamool Congress even for 15 minutes.
The Trinamool Congress has filed a complaint with the Election Commission, strongly criticizing such comments of Sukanth. Trinamool complains that this comment of Sukant Majumder is disrespectful and insulting to the police administration. Sukant Majumder said on the campaign stage that it will not be accepted if he brokers for Trinamool after wearing police uniform.
Those who are wearing uniform should take the Trinamool symbol to the streets and do politics. He further said, “Our fight is not with the Trinamool, but with the police.” But time will change and that time they will understand.
