The Assam government has taken strict measures to prevent illegal infiltration

Baby Chakraborty :- Assam Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sharma has claimed that more Aadhaar card applications have been submitted than the number of residents in the state. So he issued new guidelines to curb this illegal intrusion.

In this directive, the Chief Minister of Assam announced that Aadhaar card application will be accepted only if there is a receipt of NRC application. These guidelines are to be followed to control illegal intrusions.

In four districts of Assam, the number of Aadhaar card applications received is higher than the population. This incident proves that there has been illegal encroachment into the state. Assam Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sharma alleged that only a few of the total population could show receipt of NRC application along with Aadhaar application.

His complaint is that they are trying to get their citizenship by applying for Aadhaar card illegally.
Bangladesh is bordered by Assam’s Silchar and Meghalaya. So illegal intrusion there has become very easy. The Assam government has implemented the Citizenship Act or NRC to prevent that infiltration.

In Assam’s Dhubri district too, several anomalies have been detected during the generation of Aadhaar cards. Some intruders have come here and created Aadhaar cards. So Assam Chief Minister announced that no one can come and take Aadhaar card. A tough decision has been taken for this. This guideline will be implemented from 1st October 2024 by the Government of Assam.
