Baby Chakraborty:- On the occasion of Prak-Puja on behalf of Anandam, in collaboration with Vivekananda Health Seva Sangh headed by Dr. Gaud Das Mahashay, about 162 students were given new clothes and packets of sweets as gifts by Anandam on Sunday, September 22, 2024. Among them, 81 were students of Khanpur Vidyalaya in Hooghly district run by Vivekananda Health Seva Sangh, 36 were from Narayanpur in Hooghly district and 45 were from Harangiri in North 24 Parganas. Among them 87 were female students and 75 were male students. This Anandam was formed in the year 2017 by the alumni of Kolkata Advaita Ashram Vivekananda Study Circle who came together to form this group called ‘Anandam’ for the purpose of serving the poor Naranarayan. Since then, every year there is service to the poor Narayan as much as possible. In 2017 – at Nahanna village in between Diamond Harbour. In 2018 he was assisted in treatment of Polymorphic Tara Met in Bolpur.
In 2019, 242 tribals were given new clothes in Tomang Kocha, a tribal-dominated village under Ghatshila. New clothes are given. 2019 with the help of Ramakrishna Math Nowra among the poor people of the village,
During the 2020 covid epidemic, daily essential food items were handed over to the needy people in Kolkata Entali area.
In the years 2021 and 2023, service work was carried out in the neighboring areas with the help of Ramakrishna Math Sarisha.
In 2024, with the help of Vivekananda Health Seva Sangh, new clothes were given to small children Naranarayan in Khanpur village near Burdwan on the occasion of Durga Puja.
On behalf of Anandam, Anandam President Dr. Malay Dasgupta along with Gaurik Dasgupta, Ark Naha, Abhik Pramanik, Rajdeep Dutta, Arpan Sarkar, Madhumanti Pal, Shuvabrata Chand, Arani Bhattacharya and other members were present.
This Vivekananda Health Seva Sangh is a 35 year old service organization. Their target is primary health care in several backward villages in West Bengal. In this background, the institution established in Belur Math with the blessings and advice of many ancient and venerable Sannyas Maharajas has been quietly working on health and social awareness. Since 2020, initiatives have been taken to set up a high quality primary school. In Ramakrishna Vivekananda’s philosophy, the Ashram environment provides quality education in addition to character building and development of other talents.
