Baby Chakraborty: Nadia:- Ranaghat’s Kamalpur Abhiyan Sangh puja statue is now 112 feet. The puja committee to make the ‘tall’ idol of Ranaghat seeks permission from the High Court. The future of the 112-foot idol is in doubt. Nadia District Magistrate instructed to inform the decision. The decision should be announced by 2 pm on Thursday. Justice Hiranmoy Bhattacharya’s order to tell the administration’s plan about Pujo. Pujo entrepreneurs’ lawyer Vikasranjan Bhattacharya said that Guinness Book, Google and UNESCO have been applied for records in all places including this new achievement. The administration was informed for the permission on September 3. Initially no objection was raised. This puja has been going on for 55 years. Now the police are saying that this puja cannot be allowed.
On the other hand, state lawyer Swapan Banerjee said, “The police said that there is no necessary road for entry and exit to this puja mandap. So an accident can happen anytime. The height of the idol is more than the permissible height.
Justice Hiranmoy Bhattacharya then said that the administration should be informed whether the puja will take place or not. Only a few days left for Puja. District Magistrate of Nadia will announce the government’s decision on Puja by 2 pm tomorrow. The case will be heard again tomorrow.
