
Baby Chakraborty: Three people died in a fire in a 14th floor apartment in Lokhandwala, Mumbai on Wednesday morning. A local resident said that fire broke out on the 10th floor of the residence on Four Cross Road at around 8 in the morning. The fire quickly spread to other parts of the residence.
According to police sources, they got stuck in their house after the fire. Rescuers managed to rescue the trapped residents after a long effort. The trapped residents were rescued and rushed to the local Cooper Hospital, but doctors declared all three brought dead. The deceased are Chandra Prakash Soni (74), Kanta Soni (74) and Pelubeta (42).
The fire brigade reached the spot almost immediately after getting the information about the fire and brought the fire under control in about an hour. Fire officials did not know the exact cause of the fire. However, this tragic accident has created an atmosphere of panic in the area. Residents have been evacuated from the scene. The police are investigating the whole incident.
