Baby Chakraborty: Hooghly:- An administrative and press conference jointly organized by Sahaganj Banshberia Central Kartik Puja Committee, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate along with Hooghly District Rural Police and Chunchura and Banshberia Municipalities was held on Thursday at Keota Sahaganj Police outpost ground. Along with the administrative meeting, the Kartik Puja guide map was inaugurated, at the same time, small gifts and a children’s batch were handed over to many children in the area on the occasion of Children’s Day.
They were given to the volunteers of the Kartik Puja committees. Some small gifts were also handed over to the journalists present. The press conference of Kartik Puja was attended by Hooghly District Head Subdivision Administrator Smita Sanyal Shukla, Hooghly Rural Additional SP, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate ACP DD Suman Chatterjee, Chunchura Police Station IC Rameshwar Ojha, Shahaganj Fari In-charge Jitu Shankar Fire Department officer, and various police officers. In addition, two honorable MLAs Chunchura MLA Asit Majumder and Saptagram MLA Tapan Dasgupta, Central Puja Committee Heads and two Municipal Heads Amit Roy and Aditya Niyogi, Banshberia Municipality Deputy Municipal Head Shilpi Chatterjee, along with all the Puja Committee members and volunteers were present. While delivering his speech, Tapan Dasgupta said that it is not just Kartik Puja but Rasleela is also being held because all the gods and goddesses are worshipped here in this Sahaganj Bashberia area. The people present were first welcomed and then one by one everyone gave their valuable speeches.
