Special Representative:

Some nefarious circles are spreading wrong and false information on the social media Facebook with the names of various journalists working in Savar of Dhaka district.

Sometimes fake IDs or Facebook messenger groups are opened and disrespectful lies are spread. 3 journalists working in Savar were victims of such an incident. In the name of chief reporter KM Sabuj of Bhorer Khabar newspaper, he was first spreading ugly false information in Facebook messenger group with fake IDs named Che Guevaravara and rebel comrades. At the same time, various unregistered news portals are created by themselves and are trying to undermine the quality of real journalists by spreading fake news. Dainik Bangla 71’s staff reporter Pradeep Ghoshal and Dainik Sakal’s Dhaka district representative Imam Hossain have filed a general diary at the police station in the name of such an unexpected news portal.

Last Sunday (June 25) afternoon, they appeared in person at Savar Model Police Station and made two separate general diaries. of which No. 1891 and 1893. It is noted in the general diary that last June 25 at 1 pm it was noticed that the name and picture of media worker KM Sabuj was used in a news campaign called Zia Cyber Force agents active in anti-state activities in Ashulia on an online portal called Daily New Horizon. The publisher and editor of the portal from which the news was aired was mentioned as Dhaka District Representative Imam Hossain during Daily Morning and Daily Bangla 71 staff reporter Pradeep Ghoshal (Tapu) as executive editor.

In the general diary, they mentioned all these news portals who are doing such activities involving their names with the aim of causing damage, seeking the intervention of the prosecution to prevent misinformation and safety, and they sought punishment of the culprits.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Savar Model Police Station Sabbir Ahmed said, “I have come to know about the general diary of two news workers, and action will be taken subject to investigation.”

In this regard, Pradeep Ghoshal (Tapu) said that for a long time in Savar and Ashulia, some people using the names and pictures of journalists, political leaders, various officials of the government have been destroying the honor of everyone by opening fake IDs and spreading false baseless information through social media. Not only that, they are spreading false news by opening portals under different names to create conflict among news workers, which is a serious injustice.
