
Baby Chakraborty: Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated Kali Puja. He was present at the inauguration of several Kali Pujas in Kolkata on Monday. He gave a message not to spread unrest on Diwali and Chhattisgarh. He also ordered the police administration to be vigilant in this regard.
On Monday, he was present at the opening ceremony of Girish Park Five Star Storing Club, Janbazar Combined Kalipujo Samiti, Youth Friends Club Kalipujo. From the opening ceremony, Mamata said, ‘There is no communal riot. No fuss over betting. No disturbance on Diwali.’ He gave a message to celebrate the festival by maintaining peace.
Besides, the Chief Minister also warned about betting. He said, ‘Burn the stake in such a way that no one is harmed. The police administration will do as they say. Use eco-friendly bets.’ In the meantime, without naming the opposition, Mamata said, ‘Some people are defaming Bengal. I will tell them to think of Bangla as their own. Even today, what Bengal can do, no one can do. Apart from the administration, he also gave a message to puja entrepreneurs, clubs and residents of every neighborhood to be vigilant. Mamata said, ‘We will definitely burn the bet. However, for my happiness, others should not be harmed…. Just as the administration should be vigilant, but if a society is to continue, not only the administration should be vigilant, the puja club, the neighborhood should be vigilant.’
